Discover real-world examples of how plastics processors optimise their production using Aquapurge plastic purging compounds. These case studies showcase how plastics manufacturers across the world utilize Aquapurge to achieve faster changeovers, reduce scrap, reduce processing downtime, and get to the root of common processing problems in injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, and other plastic processes.
From eliminating difficult contamination to increasing throughput rate of colour and material change, Aquapurge purging compounds enable plastics processors to run cleaner, more productive and cost effective manufacturing operations. Our case studies examine a variety of polymer types, application processes and factory settings.

The trade moulder, Rutland Plastics Limited, has greatly enhanced the efficiency of the changeover time between run-to-run production jobs and of general machine maintenance and quality control due to the use of Aquapurge‘s BBU purging compound. This has in turn allowed Rutland to efficiently streamline production and save money on downtime and cost.
A purging solution from Aquapurge has helped a major pipe manufacturer to reduce downtime at its plant. Wavin UK has used the company’s Scrubber Freeze purging compound to enable it to produce injection moulded PVC pipe fittings, freeing up the time of maintenance staff in the process. The company has found that, since the enforced move from lead stabilisers to calcium/zinc, downtime in the plant has increased. According to Wilson, Wavin had used various purging compounds before, but Scrubber Freeze was the first one that actually worked. He partly attributes this to the customer care that came with the product.
The leading purging compound producer, Aquapurge, has been successfully partnering with the RPC Group at its Llantrisant site in its ongoing continuous improvement operational efficiency work. Aquapurge’s new PCP HMEX in particular has been helping to get Monday’s blow moulding production off to a flying start. Aquapurge’s new purging product requires just a fraction of the time previously taken to clean out previous production runs.
