Leading purging compound producer, Aquapurge, is currently reaping several sales benefits from demonstrating its purging technology in action across plastics processing sites in Europe.
The company’s methodology of ‘factory days’, product trials and training in comprehensive purging methods are effectively supplying free production expertise to those plastics processors who are taking up the challenge of the class-leading purging compounds.
Aquapurge Technical Director John Steadman says that the company’s purging compounds offer tremendous commercial advantages to plastics processors who need minimum downtime and the elimination of production cost and waste
“Our acid test is that – unlike many alternatives – our purging compounds succeed in completing stripping out all degraded deposits from plastics machinery; rendering the production equipment as new.
“Our qualified technical staff show our customers exactly how this is done via the most effective methods. Our materials cost on the open market but our expertise comes free and – is often delivered at times of crisis or emergency.”
Aquapurge’s Barrel Blitz Universal (BBU) purging compound is at the heart of that process and has been shortlisted for honours as part of this year’s Plastics Industry Awards 2019.
“Our customers are really at the heart of the BBU journey which has been gestating for almost the whole of our 25-year history,” says John.
The April 2018/April 19 period saw final material innovation touches put to BBU – in terms of chemistry and physical composition – further refined and adapted to the needs of today’s injection moulders worldwide.
Aquapurge’s current phase of development sees an expansion of qualified staff who are demonstrating and delivering the BBU transformation to processors who value the extensive savings and production peace of mind.
As Darren Parsons, Agentdraw MD, points out – when over half the cost of the finished moulding is comprised of material cost (expensive engineering polymers and colourants) there can be zero tolerance of less than perfect quality.
A dozen moulders before Agentdraw have failed projects for that very reason. Aquapurge’s BBU was the key difference.
Subsequent to Plast 2018 (Milan) one Italian customer, for example, went on to save over half a million euros in outsourcing jobs, simply through the intelligent and strategic application of BBU.
From the North of England, one injection moulding customer owes their continuing business to the debottlenecking that BBU facilitated. ‘When it comes to delivery and lead time,’ says John ‘today’s supply chains increasingly admit to no excuses whatsoever. Deploying BBU purging compound, therefore, means never having to say you’re sorry.’
Aquapurge is poised to share these success stories and many more at the upcoming K 2019 Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, 16-23rd October. Richard Brayne-Nicholls, Aquapurge’s Commercial Director, says “the K 2019 exhibition will give us the opportunity to display our peerless products and all the success they deliver our customers. Our telephone lines are always open and ready to make an appointment with us through the eight days of the K show“
