POLY CLEAR

Poly Clear is designed to achieve very specific purposes for materials with a temperature of 160°C to 280°C:

• Quick Colour Changes
• Quick Material Changes
• Effective removal of Carbon (Decarbonising)
• Effective Shut Down Medium for Heat Sensitive Materials

For Colour Changes Poly Clear uses:
• A stiff flowing carrier polymer that pushes the bulk of the polyolefin /
• styrenic material before it.
• A foaming additive to aid turbulent flow - as a result the polyolefin / styrenic
• material is peeled from the surfaces of the screw barrel and nozzle.
• An enhanced procedure used to search out and eradicate the last residues
• of the polyolefin / styrenic material remaining.

For Decarbonising Poly Clear uses:
• Surfactants to loosen the carbon deposits
• Enhanced bonding technology to cause the carbon to adhere to the Poly Clear
• A new procedure to keep equipment carbon free

For Shutting Down Heat Sensitive Materials Poly Clear uses:
• The colour change technology above to clear the equipment of all traces of
• the heat sensitive material
• Replacement with a stable holding material.
